Dr Ben Nash

Endocrinologist

Dr Ben Nash is a Melbourne-based consultant endocrinologist. Having lived with type 1 diabetes for roughly two decades, Ben combines his training & lived experience with a person-centred approach to support & empower people living with diabetes & other endocrine conditions.

Ben graduated medicine with first-class honours from the University of Queensland & completed his endocrine specialty training at Austin Health. Growing up in regional Victoria, Ben is passionate about using technology to improve access to diabetes care & is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne in this area.

Ben is the recipient of a number of academic awards, including the Australian Government RTP Scholarship, University of Melbourne Rowden White Scholarship, Diabetes Victoria Gwen Scott Grant & the Australian Centre for Accelerating Diabetes Innovations PhD Grant. His collaborative work has been published in the world-leading Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology.

In his down time you’ll find Ben on the tennis court, cycling, or looking for Melbourne’s best sushi train.

Ben welcomes referrals across all aspects of endocrinology & has a particular clinical interest in diabetes, weight management, thyroid & adrenal disorders.
